What You Didn’t Know of Human Resource Development
This paper aimed to enhance HRD professional’s knowledge about human resource development (HRD) practices, the basic of human resource development, and the evolution human resource development. Understanding them is going to assist HRD professional to implement HRD on the right track. It’s also improving him/her while practicing HRD in his/ her organization. The method used literature study. The study found that (1) HRD is a part of Human Resource (HR), and its subfield are Training and Development (T&D) and Organization Development (OD); (2) HRD is held for the sake of learning and performance changes to be better; and (3) HRD was an evolution and born paralel with world changes, this makes HRD still exist up to right now.
